I first encountered Andrew at a men’s retreat where things got real very quickly. I was in a difficult place that weekend and what happened in that room changed something for me. I’ve experienced a lot of helping professionals, retreats, and consultants across my life. That weekend made clear he was operating at a different level.
What followed was years of working alongside a remarkable human being. Co-facilitating retreats, navigating difficult and complex situations, watching him move through rooms full of people in different kinds of pain and different stages of stuck. I’ve seen him work one on one through acute crisis and in group environments where the dynamics are unpredictable and the pressure is real.
His heart-centered approach combines effortlessly with his precision skill. Warm without being soft. He operates in a category of its own that most people don’t even know exists, from the deeply personal to the very practical. I’ve known a lot of people in this field and can truly say I’ve never encountered anything quite like it.
My life is on a completely different trajectory now and I’m astounded when I reflect on the growth I’ve experienced over the past several years. Somehow I got to do that with him as a friend and colleague. I would trust him with anyone trying to make a meaningful change, personally or organizationally.
